About Mary
Mary is a gifted therapist whose work has touched the hearts of thousands. She is living proof that one person can make a difference.
Mary's own life unexpectedly and abruptly changed course in January, 2009. Healthy, active and vibrant, Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer and terminal carcinoid cancer. Carcinoid cancer is very rare and western medicine has no cure. Six surgeries later and 17 lbs lighter she started her search for a cure. The medical community's prognosis is dismal, and only after the use of extreme radiation and highly toxic chemotherapy.
Alternative treatments, however, have gotten her back on her feet. She is up, running and devotedly searching for a cure. Her third treatment attempt took her to India which she credits for how she looks and feels today. She is returning to The Raju Institute of Ayurvedics for a second round of treatments at the end of Sept. She will be gone 42 days this trip.
Mary is many things to us: friend, teacher, mentor, sister, aunt, niece, wife and mother of a young son. But she is one thing to all: an inspiration. She has moved us with her wit and her wisdom, her gusto and her grace.
We are a small group with a big heart, devoted to Mary and dedicated to finding creative solutions to finance her cure.
We invite you to become part of this remarkable woman's life, and our commitment to save it.
